A Finnish forest full of wonders right next door. Tall trees, plants, and wild berries. Beetles, birds, and curious squirrels. Fish in the sea. Forests that felt like wilderness. That was the childhood our Head of Sales and Marketing Juha Laitinen had. There were also short but fantastic Finnish summers spent on the grandparent’s farm where life was slow and simple. Growing up, Juha explored nature, discovered the beauty of birdwatching just about anything with wings, and helped nurture and harvest the fields, learning how to grow organic potatoes and vegetables.
For the first 15 years of his life, nature truly was something that Juha was taught to value, protect and respect. It felt good. It felt like home. It felt right. Then Juha grew up, moved to a bigger city, and started a new life with jobs and kids and cars. There were still occasional visits to the countryside, memorable nights spent in nature with friends, and far-away trips to see the natural wonders of the world, but the deeper connection Juha had with nature as a kid was gone. The new urban life wasn’t bad, but something important was clearly missing.
So, after two decent decades in advertising, Juha joined InnaGrow because he wants to help all urban people like himself fall in love again with nature. Juha’s main role in our Indoor Nature Rebellion is to focus on branding and marketing through a factual and helpful, kind, and humane tone of voice. He believes in the natural magic of storytelling.
